Setting Your Stall Out – Using Niche Trade Shows to Pull in the Profits

It’s Christmas in New York and as I walked around the little stalls at the old church courtyard just a block away from the hotel I was staying in I got chatting to an elderly gentleman selling Christmas decorations.  Seems he runs this as a nice part time business for just one month a year, to make some cash for Christmas.  For the rest of the year he concentrates on his main business which is selling other simple little niche products that he has found a demand for, at Niche Trade Fairs … or Trade Shows as we call them in the UK.  He makes a really, really good income for basically putting his little products on a stand at these trade fairs in front of what are obviously extremely highly targeted individuals. People basically looking for, or are very interested in, the types of products he has to offer.   They stop at his stand, look at what he has and if they like what they see buy it there and then. Nice and simple! He knows already, when he sets up his stall that there is a strong demand for the type of products that he is offering.  Actually it’s just about the easiest way to generate some cash,  in the world… Think about it. You certainly don’t have to be an Einstein to realise that if you put, for instance, unique niche pet related products in front of people who have actually PAID to get in to look at pet-related exhibits, that you have a great chance of making some money.   It’s not exactly brain surgery.  And its not exactly hard work either … you just have to have someone stand there at your stall (if it’s too much like hard work for you to stand there yourself) and collect the cash from people come to buy.   You don’t even have to go looking for the customers. The demand is already there in the room or trade fair hall. Now it was while I was chatting to this gentleman at this little Christmas Market in New York last night that I was reminded of this wonderfully easy way to make cash profits from niche products.   Something I have to confess I’d completely forgotten about myself even though it’s one of the methods I used to launch me on my way to pulling on over £30 MILLION POUNDS!In fact, I ended up spending about half-an-hour with this old guy swapping stories of niche trade shows.   We talked about the surprisingly high incomes you can make from these … even if you get others to actually do it for you … how easy it was to do … and what an absolutely brilliant way it was to bring in the most highly targeted customers for your particular product you’ll ever find. In fact, it’s just a fantastic way to bring in precisely the individuals you want directly into your marketing ‘funnel’ – by building a relationship face to face with new customers who if treated properly may well become long standing loyal customers. But before you start saying “Oh that sounds like a lot of work…. ” Let me put your mind at rest.  Firstly, you DON’T have to do this yourself, in fact, there are people who may be able to offer your products for you at some MASSIVE WORLDWIDE trade shows on a joint venture basisAnd DON’T think you can’t do this yourself anyway … because you can … there is nothing easier on this planet. In fact, you DON’T even have to do or attend the niche trade shows yourself … everything can be done for you. You don’t even actually have to have your own stand as your product could be offered for you on someone else’s stand on a joint venture kind of basisIn addition to this, even if you don’t intend to offer your products directly with your own stand at a trade fair, just going along yourself as an attendee is a great way to also source other individuals who you could joint venture your product with, or to find new products of the type that your customers will demand, to come up with new cash pulling product ideas yourself, to find brand new licensed products you could offer…Anyway, the point is there are many, many ways to actually make the most of niche product trade shows which is why this is something I would strongly encourage you NOT to overlook.
